The cosmetics and perfumes market in Russia grew by 10% in 2018 to RUB 780bn (€10.47m). The worsening financial situation of the population and devaluation of the rouble has led to changes in customer preferences and the positions of market players, giving a competitive edge to domestic manufacturers and retailers in the low and mid-price segments while foreign players occupy the premium product niche.
