
Sports nutrition products are one of the few categories of dietary supplements that are more commonly consumed by men than women. In a new PMR survey conducted in late 2018, 18% of male respondents reported having bought such a product in the 12 months prior to being interviewed, against only 8% of female respondents. Towns with between 21,000 and 49,000 residents are where sports supplements are particularly popular: fully 23% of respondents from such towns bought a sports supplement in the year before the interview.
