Sample custom projects for retail & FMCG industries
Price tests in convenience stores
The major goal of this research and consulting study was to optimise prices of products our client sells at three convenience store chains. For this purpose, the PMR team conducted interviews with customers to learn of their opinions and behaviour as well as their reactions to price changes. Based on the data from customer research, we used the Price Sensitivity Measurement method to provide suggestions regarding prices. For each retail chain, our client received values for each of the minimum accepted price, maximum accepted price, and optimal price. In addition, the client received a detailed analysis of customers by demographic characteristics. Having such data, it was possible for our client to make final price decisions.

In the end, our client was equipped with solid knowledge about consumers’ opinions and a package of recommendations from PMR showing how the product portfolio could be adjusted to the tastes and preferences of Polish consumers. To provide an even higher level of confidence for penetrating the Polish FMCG market, our client received information about trends and forecasts regarding the local grocery market.

Also identified were key market players and information about prospects on the food and beverage market.
Market research on e-commerce and its consumers in Poland

B2B and B2C research regarding the convenience store segment

By means of a B2B survey done among convenience store owners and B2C survey done among consumers, our researchers brought our client solid knowledge and useful conclusions. Information about consumer behaviour and attitudes towards private label products were combined with data about shop owners’ supply models and product categories. The effect of this project was to help our client in his development plans regarding both the offer and distribution.
