One in four Poles plans to buy furniture in the nearest future
According to the research findings , one-third of the respondents reported to have bought an item of furniture in 2013 or in the first half of 2014. In this year’s round of the survey, the largest proportions of the respondents reported to have bought a wardrobe, a chest of drawers or kitchen furniture. Compared to the previous edition, the figures for these groups of furniture remained similar, but the proportion of respondents who declared to have purchased tables, chairs, sofas and shelves went up significantly. All the respondents were also asked if they planned to buy furniture in the second half of 2014 or in 2015. Three quarters of adult Poles responded that they had no such plans. Noteworthy, still a large proportion of consumers buy new furniture because of the usual wear and tear of the existing items rather than because they only want to change the decor of their homes.
